IABC holds to a complementarian view when it comes to roles within the church and ministry. We believe scripture teaches women and men are equal before the Lord (Genesis 1:27, 1 Peter 3:7), but also believe that scripture gives us distinctive roles as men and women in the home, church, and wider society. (1 Timothy 2:12, 1 Corinthians 14:33-36). Therefore, IABC does not seek to certify biblical counselors who do not uphold this view.

In an ever changing day of terms associated with the integration of psychology into the counseling arena, IABC recognizes these new terms as Integrated counseling: Trauma Informed and Clinically Aware.

Child Safety Training: Our child safety training is provided through the same company that offers our background check services. There is no extra cost to this training. Payment for Background Check
By making payment below, I the undersiged, authorize this information to be obtained either in writing, by electronic consent, or via telephone in connection with my background. I by willful consent do authorize International Association of Biblical Couselors by way of Protect my Ministry to obtain all necessay information for a background check. Any person, firm or organization providing information or records in accordance with this authorization is released from any and all claims of liability for compliance.
